This probably just the precursor to the concept of having a two screen iPad. Still pretty cool. Microsoft had a good idea with the keyboard for its Surface tablet but as usual, Apple has something cooler in the works.

Officially no word from Apple yet but the rumors seem to be converging now on September 12th as the announcement date for the iPhone 5. What will it look like and what will be inside is still up for grabs. Check the other posts out to see some of the design leaks and rumors.

There have been lots of images floating around over the last month. This is the first one to show the smaller pin connector and the headphone jack on the bottom. The screen actually looks funny elongated. Seems like it should be wider and taller for the 4 inch screen.
No matter what the phone actually looks like, the features are going to be more important. What will Apple really wow everyone with?
One of the concepts for the iPhone 5 is a translucent phone. Apple has filed a patent for a glass phone but having the screen be translucent is even more awesome.

Hopefully there is some truth to this which means we aren't too far from seeing a release announcement!

Looking forward to reading this article. Incumbent leaders in all industries usually become complacent and lose out to younger and more innovative companies. Remember that Microsoft actually had a market cap of approximately $620 billion which Apple still hasn't crossed yet. And that is without inflation adjustments which would value Microsoft's peak market cap at over $800 billion.
